so i was thinking, we need some way of like all being able to communicate easily.. we should set something up. while *dun dun dun* of course we already had this! :O good idea whoever it was...
anyway so melbourne trip!!!
we (bernie and i (and jess later jumped on the bandwagon)) started talking about when we should go, how to get there and what to do.
so we were thinking of leaving on wed 28th november ($59 one-way with Jetstar - all other mid-week flights mon-thurs are $69). and going for like a week, coming back around wed 4th ($69).
accommodation... we were thinking youth hostel would be cheapest. there are 2 close to the city:
Melbourne Metro is in North Melbourne (tram goes right to centre of city). For a 4 share room, it's $30 per person per night, or $26 for an 8 share (separate male/female).
Melbourne Oasis is also in North Melbourne, (slighty further out, also just around corner from tram). For a multi-share room (3, 4 or 5 ppl) it's $23 per person per night (also separate male/female).
so the main idea of the trip was to go to Krispy Kreme (and Ichipan apparently..). and do lots of other stuff. anyone can come.
anyway these were just initial thoughts; open to other ideas.

First thing though, the majorly sucky thing about jetstar is that the planes land at avalon airport.. which is majorly far from melbourne city! I'm not sure if there is public transport from there, does anyone know?
of course there is! its not like the desert.

Apparently there's a bus service that goes from avalon to melbourne city or thereabouts, I think it's $10.
